12. Do you engage with your team?
If you are anything like me when you get to work you put your game face on and go to work.
This is great for your patients, but if you are busy, you might never actually get to know your team.
Not getting to know your team is a huge mistake. Creating a relationship with your team and understanding what’s going on in their lives will help build rapport, trust, and loyalty.
To do this, start every team meeting with having a conversation about each of them.
I have everyone cover one thing they are thankful for, one win and one improvement (each of these can be in or out of the office).
This allows me to help them focus on the positive, help them improve, and most importantly get to know them.
It’s a simple process that changes employees into team members.
